PURCHASE LEDGER – Maternity Cover – This position is now filled

The role will be based within our small accounts team based at the Practice in Liphook, Hants. The main duties will involve operating the purchase ledger system, preparing month end accrual schedules and processing sales ledger invoices. The role will also involve an element of general accounts office administration such as assisting with the monthly statement run, entering job sheets, answering the telephone and an element of credit control.

The successful candidate will need to have good written and verbal communication skills, be computer literate with knowledge of MS Excel and be able to work within a team with excellent attention to detail. Experience of working in a commercial accounts environment and of dealing with clients is essential however a knowledge of horses is not necessary. We have a bespoke accounting package for which full training will be provided.

This position is offered on a full time temporary maternity cover contract (Monday-Friday). You will be based at the Liphook Equine Hospital. A competitive salary package is provided

CLINIC NURSE Position– Maternity Cover

We have a vacancy for a Clinic Nurse to join the team on a circa 15 month contract to cover maternity.
Enthusiastic, equine veterinary nurse required to join our clinic nursing team. We are seeking a motivated, hardworking team player to be part of our busy referral hospital. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in diagnostic imaging and theatre nursing. There is a 1:6 out-of-hours on call commitment and the salary is commensurate with experience. We are interested to hear from individuals who have an excellent track record in horse care and horse handling with good experience of veterinary procedures and practice. EVN or RVN qualifications are of interest but not essential.
The position is offered on a fixed term maternity cover contract exact term and start date to be confirmed but we expect the contract to run from around May 2018 to August 2019.
The position is based in our state-of-the-art equine hospital in Liphook Hampshire. Due to our rural location own transport is essential. Accommodation may be available in one of the practice houses.

Liphook Equine Hospital Laboratory team move into their new building!

We thought you might like to take a look at our new purpose built Laboratory building – our team moved in over Christmas.  We have plenty of space, and the team love their wonderful views of the Hospital’s paddocks, menage, and the beautiful Common in the distance.  Here’s a video to show a bird’s eye view of the new Laboratory building.

Part Time Administrator/Receptionist

Due to a change in circumstances we are looking to recruit an additional member of staff to join our hospital admin team working on a part time basis.

The role will involve dealing with clients and other veterinary practices, booking patients in for procedures, dealing with admissions and discharges and generally supporting our team of equine specialists and veterinary surgeons who are based within the hospital. This is an extremely important and varied role and the team is responsible for ensuring that we provide a first class administrative service to clients bringing horses into the hospital.

You will need to have an excellent telephone manner and be committed to and experienced in the delivery of excellent customer care. You will need reasonable computer skills, exceptional attention to detail and be happy working in a busy and varied environment where no one day is the same. You must have previous office experience and be able to demonstrate a customer service background. A knowledge of horses is a definite advantage.

We are looking for someone to work 3 full days on Monday, Wednesday and Friday plus Tuesday afternoon. We need a good team player who is able to be flexible to cover for holidays within the team on occasion. You may also be required to join a Saturday morning rota.

The role is based in our state of the art equine hospital in Liphook, Hampshire. Due to the rural location you will need access to your own transport. A competitive salary will be offered commensurate with experience.
