Our first opinion practice veterinary surgeons are all experienced equine vets and offer high quality, personalised veterinary services to all horses, ponies and donkeys throughout our catchment area.

Our services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and in the event of an emergency, you can contact the practice on 01428 723594 (during normal office hours) or 01428 727727 (out of office hours) and speak to a veterinary surgeon to receive immediate advice or to request a call-out.

Our ambulatory veterinary surgeons provide a wide range of services at our clients’ premises, including vaccinations, pre-purchase examinations, advice on management (for example, for laminitic horses and ponies), routine and advanced dentistry, lameness examinations and treatment of  medical conditions and emergency treatments for wounds, colic and other injuries. Minor surgical interventions (eg. castration, removal of Wolf teeth or small skin masses) may also be undertaken at the horse’s home premises.

We have a full range of portable diagnostic equipment, including digital endoscopy, radiography and ultrasonography. This allows our veterinary surgeons to diagnose and treat a wide variety of conditions at stable yards, without requiring your horse to be transported into the hospital.

More complex diagnostic, medical and surgical cases can be referred quickly to our equine hospital, where our clients and their horses have direct access to specialist expertise, care, equipment and facilities, as do the many horses that are referred by veterinary surgeons from other practices throughout the UK.

Our first opinion practice vets have direct access to our specialist equine clinical pathology laboratory where many blood, swab, faecal and other samples are tested to help our vets make accurate diagnoses and thereby institute and monitor appropriate treatments for the horses of our clients.

I have been using Liphook Equine Hospital for more than 10 years. Whether I have needed their services for routine work, stud work, diagnosis or treatment of illness, I have always been able to rely on the utmost support from every member of the team, from vets and nurses to administrative staff. They have regularly gone the extra mile to help my horses whatever the situation. I thoroughly recommend the Hospital to anyone.
