Pete Gallon

BVetMed CertEP MRCVS

Clinical Director

Pete grew up around horses, rode out racehorses, worked with stunt horses and enjoyed novice level eventing. He combined this experience with his scientific interests and naturally progressed into the equine veterinary profession.

Having gained a wealth of equine experience in busy equine veterinary practice, Pete joined the Liphook ambulatory team in 2002. He gained his Certificate in Equine Practice in 2009 and enjoys all aspects of clinical work caring for his huge variety of patients, although spends most of his clinical time performing lameness examinations and dental treatments. He is also a RCVS recognised Advanced Equine Practitioner, our official measurer for the Joint Measurement Board, ARVS accredited and an official veterinarian for equine exports. Pete became partner in 2010 and is now one of the Clinical Directors of the ambulatory team. He is suitably assisted by Frank, his small white Jack Russell terrier.

Out of work, you’ll find Pete in the mountains, seas, and savannahs. World adventure travel, skiing and snowboarding, scuba diving and African wildlife veterinary conservation, including the dehorning of rhinos to help prevent poaching, all fill Pete’s holiday time away. Closer to home, Pete enjoys running, cycling, keeping fit, socialising, and getting creative with a paint brush.
