Rachel qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2005 and spent 3 years in mixed practice in the South West prior to becoming a House Vet at the Liphook Equine Hospital. She then spent a further 3 years in equine ambulatory practice in Norfolk, Surrey and Berkshire before returning to the Royal Veterinary College to undertake a residency in Equine Surgery in 2013. During this time she obtained an RCVS certificate in equine orthopaedics and a Masters in Veterinary Medicine, undergoing research into the monitoring of tendon injuries. Rachel took a position as a surgeon in Yorkshire for a year prior to joining Liphook Equine Hospital in Summer 2017. She is a European Specialist in Equine Surgery and enjoys all aspects of lameness investigation and surgery. In her spare time Rachel is a keen windsurfer and surfer.
