Irene graduated in 2001 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Leon, Spain. As a new graduate, she spent 7 years working in first opinion equine practice in Ireland, where she acquired extensive experience working in all aspects of the thoroughbred racing and breeding industry.
In 2010 Irene moved to England, where she worked in a variety of settings broadening her experience in diagnostic imaging and lameness, stud medicine and internal medicine. She also ran regular sarcoid laser removal and gastroscopy clinics.
Irene joined Liphook in 2023, where she enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice and is also one of the dedicated members of the reproductive team. She has recently become involved in Embryo Transfer and has recently obtained her OV exports certification.
In her spare time Irene loves travelling, biking, water sports and spending time with her young family.
