For a full pre-purchase examination the horse needs to be at a yard with a flat, level area on which the horse can be trotted up and lunged, a dark stable to check the eyes, an area where the horse can be ridden (and galloped). A rider will be required to ride the horse a full 5 stage pre-purchase examination (unless the horse is unbroken). Please be aware that our vet will need to see the passport and any vaccination records. The horse should be groomed with clean, mud free limbs and feet. The vendor should be notified that a blood sample will be taken and stored for 6 months.
