Rachel qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2005 and spent 3 years in mixed practice in the South West prior to becoming a House Vet at the Liphook Equine Hospital. She then spent a further 3 years in equine ambulatory practice in Norfolk, Surrey and Berkshire before returning to the Royal Veterinary College to undertake a residency in Equine Surgery in 2013, qualifying as a European Specialist in Equine Surgery the following year. During this time she obtained an RCVS certificate in equine orthopaedics and a Masters in Veterinary Medicine, undergoing research into the monitoring of tendon injuries. Rachel enjoys general surgery of all types and has more recently become more specialised seeing neck pain, neuropathy and Wobbler cases from all over the country and even abroad.
In her spare time, Rachel’s sporting passion is catching waves, be it on a surfboard, paddle board or windsurfer. She also enjoys exploring the outdoors with her 5 year old son.
